I need to start using Windows more

The reason? Simple. I’m using other operating systems so little that I’m only able to complain about Mac OS X. I’m starting to look like a Mac hater.

But lest anyone be confused, I’ll be specific: Mac OS X is not perfect. It is, however, less not-perfect than Windows. And until an even less not-perfect OS comes out, Mac OS X is my OS of choice.

  1. I am a Linux user! And you should see my laptop. It is…on the edge of death. The hinge is all busted (from being dropped one too many times) and it doesn’t really close. It keeps on ticking though!

Thanks for commenting on my site of late. You are usually quick! Do you use an RSS reader? I just started using one a couple of days ago, and I love it. I don’t understand why I’d been avoiding it for so long.

Hmm. I know you’re techy so I am just rambling on about technical things. Not sure why. :)

    Just wanted to say hello!

  2. I actually use the Google Reader website, but there’s an application available for Mac OS X that changes an icon in my menu bar and beeps when I have new things to read. (I’ve actually been meaning to turn off the beep, but keep forgetting.) Usually, I just look over the sites and titles and click Mark All Read, but Whimfield is one of the feeds I read every story from. I love what you guys are doing. :)

Oh… and Linux is not a bad choice. I prefer Mac OS X, but I used to use Linux rather than Windows. Lately, though, I’ve just settled on just using a bottom-of-the-line Mac mini desktop. It fits perfectly on a small bookshelf-desk combo, and is small and quiet enough that I can keep it up out of the reach of my little boy. :)
