Windows Media Player for Mac OS X has been discontinued. But don’t worry, Mac users, it’s been replaced with a better option for playing Windows Media content.
Microsoft has worked out some sort of deal with the makers of the excellent Flip4Mac WMV. The basic version allows you to view most Windows Media content (more than Microsoft’s player did, but still not all) directly in QuickTime Player or any other QuickTime application. And it is now available for download free.
